A catch-all functionality that is activated for a particular email mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. To state it differently, if you disable an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any mistyped email address under the very same domain, you will receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be essential in case you run a company, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited email messages, you can use the catch-all feature with anti-spam filtering software so as to get only legitimate email messages in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting
If you host a domain on our cloud hosting platform and you’ve got a cloud hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all feature for any e-mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section offers quite a few functions, but it is extremely easy to use, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes just a single click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be listed in this section alphabetically and you’ll only have to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the concrete address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or select a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as easy and requires yet another mouse click on the exact same button.
