An e-mail alias is an e-mail address that shares a mailbox with a different e-mail address. For example, you could have email@example.com as well as firstname.lastname@example.org and e-mails sent to both of them will be received in one and the same mailbox. This option will make it easier and much more convenient to control numerous email addresses as you will have to log into one single mailbox if you are using webmail or create just one address in a email client on your desktop. When you create an alias, you won't just be able to receive emails, but you'll also be able to send out e-mails from the various addresses and they'll share the Outbox, so you'll have all communication in a single place. Implementing aliases is a substitute for using various email addresses for various purposes or forwarding a single address to another in order to manage the e-mails of both in one location.
